There are six of them, looking from the canvases of the Tolyatti artist Sergei Zhagat. «The Six Napoleons» is the name of one of Arthur Conan Doel's detective novels. And these six Napoleons are guests of our Uralsk. Sergei Zhagat's exhibition «Napoleons nearby» was held from September 20 to October 20, 2024 at the Pushkin Museum, and there were portraits of only Napoleons on it.
Besides Napoleon I, Napoleon Bonaparte, a legendary, famous and controversial personality, there were other representatives of this dynasty. Who is Napoleon Bonaparte? The conqueror who tried to capture Russia in 1812, against whom the entire Russian people rebelled and led them to defeat, to the well-known heavy tragic flight of the French beyond the borders of Russia. Or maybe he is a great and mysterious hero who inspired many artists and poets. A.S.Pushkin dedicated several poems to him, in whose museum the exhibition was held, and another great Russian poet M.Y.Lermontov, who created his romantic ballad «Airship». And next to the portrait of Bonaparte is also a portrait of Napoleon IV, who was immortalized by Antoine de Saint-Exupery in the image of his little prince – at least, researchers think so.
The exhibition is original and interesting. It attracted the attention of the Uralians – teachers and students visited it. It was solemnly opened, and its closing became a real holiday. Students of the M.Utemisov WKU, actors of the «ECHO» theater, under the guidance of teachers staged the ballad of M.Y.Lermontov «Airship». The script was written by teachers Chechetko M.V. and Frolov I.M., and in the production of Shunaibekova K.M., the images of the great Russian poet, and above all Bonaparte, came to life. 4th year students of the EP «Teacher training of foreign languages and literature» Oksana Lobikova, Elizaveta Eskalieva and Azilkhan Zharasov presented the images of a romantic ballad with talent and impressively. This exhibition is unusual and romantic. It was organized by N.A. Redko, the artist's impresario. He talked about each painting, its history and style of execution. I think that the exhibition was memorable and I will talk about it later. And photos and videos related to her will take their rightful place in the press.
