Autobiography
Since 2015, after defending his doctoral dissertation in Germany, Vladislav Sergeyevich was appointed as the head of the Bologna Process Center at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University (WKSU). Since 2018, he has been leading the Department of International Relations and Multilingualism at M. Utemisov WKSU. In this role, he has demonstrated himself as a responsible, efficient, and talented leader. He is proficient in both German and English languages.
During his tenure as the head of the international department, Vladislav actively organized successful academic exchange programs for students and faculty, meeting mobility development targets at the university. He oversees the implementation of the "Bolashak" program, including the "500 Scholars" project. Over the last 5 years, he has organized exchange programs for more than 600 students and master's students, with 200 students studying abroad during the same period. This work contributes to the successful accreditation of the university's programs, both nationally and internationally.
Vladislav Z. pays significant attention to the internationalization of the university and the recruitment of foreign scholars, both through university funds and programs funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under his leadership, the university has attracted over 70 foreign scholars from the CIS countries, Europe, the USA, South and East Asia. From 2019 to 2022, Vladislav invited language instructors from Italy, Germany, Turkey, and the USA. In 2022, he secured funding from the Embassy of Italy in Kazakhstan for the development of Italian language courses at the university.
Since 2017, Vladislav S. has been involved in developing multilingualism at the university. With his involvement, the university attracted two top managers from South Korea and Poland from 2017 to 2019 to provide methodological support and develop English-language educational programs. Two multilingual methodological classrooms were opened, and the publication of methodological guides and articles was initiated. Since 2018, Vladislav has overseen the language preparation project for multilingual group students, involving foreign language instructors. Over 400 students received language certificates (CEPT, IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), and over 70 received EduCare psychological and pedagogical training certificates.
Since 2020, Vladislav S. has been serving as a reviewer for the university's scientific journal, "Vestnik ZKGU." He teaches English and German courses, as well as special disciplines at the Department of Foreign Languages. He supervises diploma and master's theses and collaborates with colleagues on research projects. In 2022, he contributed to winning a grant with Rutgers University (USA) funded under the Kazakhstan-American Science Partnership Program on the theme "Creating Partnership Program in Green Nanotechnology and Environmental Sensing."
For his exemplary performance of duties, creative activity, impeccable service, and contribution to the university's development, Vladislav Sergeyevich has received letters of gratitude from the university's rectorate and commendation letters from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2017, 2022) and the Akim of West Kazakhstan Region (2022).
