Employment of graduates for 2023–2025 under the Educational Program «Teacher Training in Foreign Languages and Literature»

The employment of graduates of the Educational Program «Teacher Training in Foreign Languages and Literature» is one of the key indicators of the effectiveness of educational activities and the quality of specialist training.

The objective of work in this area is to increase the effectiveness of graduate employment within the Educational Program «Teacher Training in Foreign Languages and Literature», as well as to improve the quality of education and the training of competitive specialists.

The analysis of employment monitoring data in recent years demonstrates a stable positive trend. Graduates of the educational program successfully integrate into the professional environment, and a significant proportion of them are employed in their field of specialization within the first year after graduation.

The main areas of professional activity of graduates include:

- secondary education institutions (general education schools, gymnasiums, lyceums);

- technical and vocational education institutions (colleges);

- preschool institutions;

- higher education institutions;

- language and educational centers;

- the field of translation and intercultural communication.

Most graduates are employed in positions corresponding to their field of training, which indicates a high level of alignment between the educational program and labor market requirements.

Graduates of the Educational Program «Teacher Training in Foreign Languages and Literature» work not only in the West Kazakhstan region but also in other regions of the country, including the city of Astana, as well as Aktobe, Mangystau, and Atyrau regions. There is a steady demand for specialists of the program from employers: the university regularly receives requests for graduates, including from the cities of Aktau and Atyrau.

Some graduates continue their studies at the master’s level, including in foreign universities, which confirms the high level of academic training and the developed motivation for research activities.

The university and the Faculty of Philology carry out systematic work to promote graduate employment. The «Job Fair» is held annually, aimed at establishing direct interaction between graduates and employers. Meetings with representatives of educational institutions are regularly organized based on employers’ requests.

The Educational Program «Teacher Training in Foreign Languages and Literature» annually implements a set of activities aimed at facilitating graduate employment, including round tables, career guidance meetings, and career events that provide employment opportunities in both urban and rural areas.

Special attention is paid to the employment of young specialists in rural areas. Graduates are provided with opportunities for employment in rural schools, where, in accordance with current legislation, state support measures are provided, including relocation allowances and social guarantees for specialists who move to work and live in rural areas.

An important role in the employment process is played by the organization of professional practice. Students complete internships at educational institutions in the region, which contributes to the development of professional competencies and often becomes the basis for further employment.

An additional advantage of graduates is their high level of proficiency in foreign languages, as well as well-developed methodological, communicative, and digital competencies, which ensures their competitiveness in the modern labor market.
